All translations are carried out exclusively by qualified translators who are native speakers of the target language and who are specialised in a particular sector.
When the translation is completed, another native speaker of the target language with a similar specialisation, proofreads the translation to ensure everything is correct and appropriately rendered.

Web and Software Localisation

Web and software localization (L10N) is the process of adapting a software product to the linguistic, cultural and technical requirements of a target market. This involves not only the translation of the software or web application (buttons, content, warning messages, etc.) but also the translation of the related documentation. Translation is only a part of the software/web localisation process. Other phases include checking the usability of the UI, as well as online help, warnings and error messages testing. In some cases, a more thorough testing is required in order to ensure that the application’s functionality is retained. This involves writing detailed test scripts for evaluating in a systematic way each single screen or dialog and the consistency of the command-key sequences. Computer Assisted Tools (CAT) such as Transit NXT or Passolo are generally used throughout the process.

Technical Translations

Technical translations are used in sectors such as automotive, industrial automation and robotics, aerospace, trains, manufacturing, defense, energy, accounting, banking, machine tools, training and education. Technical translations are not simply limited to the translation of documents, but also of operator’s panels, PLC strings, AutoCAD drawings, electrical diagrams and help pages. Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools such as WordFast Pro or Trados are generally used for this type of translations in order to re-use previously translated parts of sentences and ensure consistent style and terminology throughout the documents. The use of CAT tools for technical translations allows increased efficiency, reduced cost, higher precision, and better overall quality.

Legal Translations

Legal translations are carried out by translators with a legal background and a high level of knowledge of the judicial system of both countries, in order to be able to render concepts which are not necessarily available in both judicial systems. We translate contracts, court cases, proxies and can also notarize or certify the translations depending on the country where they will be used. An Apostille certificate service is also available for using documents overseas.
